What We Do

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University - School of Medicine is a unique academic institution that bestows student-doctors, the opportune role of becoming medical practitioners that are to be steadfast agents and advocates of unrelenting service to the people who are in greatest of need. As future physicians, it is our designated mission to help improve the health and well being of the people living in far-flung areas, especially those who have insufficient access to health services, as well as those who have inadequate awareness about the ways and means of enhancing their own health status and maintaining healthy living. In order to do this, we are tasked to seek support from government agencies and private sectors to help provide solutions to the problems that we have identified and prioritized by conducting house-to-house surveys and community assemblies with the people. To conclude, it is our utmost intent to be able to aid the people to become self-sufficient in their health seeking behavior and awareness at the longest possible span of time.
